As a builder, I see many rooms, that lay under the effects of moisture. Cracked walls, leaky roofs, poor insulation of all, to take this issue so boring. Although it seems a difficult task to overcome the problem is actually a fairly painless task.

In this case, I recently got the kitchen was an old bungalow in 1960. This is the type of construction that dates back double wall insulation (or for that matter, the isolation of all kinds, including the roof) were mainly, and had a drywall interior walls of an inch thick. Although it is a much better system than do the previous plaster and lath-mode, things (hundreds of wooden battens fixed with plaster on top) was still presented its own problems.

Drywall is heavy, very fragile and easily damaged – which hang on the wall, gypsum is complicated and is easy to parts of the plaster, if they do not break the pins accordingly. Added moisture can not easily damaged and very resistant to mildew.

So let’s get rid of the dry wall! After describing how bad drywall has a bonus – this is particularly easy to remove. You can even remove it normal with a hammer and a chisel, but with a power chisel, is even faster (something which you can rent, if necessary). Around the plant and equipment (including the window sill, the kitchen wall tile was made), who needed only two hours to remove the drywall. In fact, filling and unloading of the trucks took around the same time!

To replace the drywall and went to use moist heat matter to the board. This helps not only to moisture, but also for isolation (and thus heat protection) of the room to help. Normal board adhesive is ideal for this task. Tip: Unlike plaster, do not try to score and then heat the rear plate. Instead, take your measurements and mark the edge with a pencil. So grab a dull old saw is no longer in use cut to cut, and use it to gently heat the board.

After drying, you can flush-mounted. The tape of his projects in all mortar joints between the panels and all the screw heads if available (you can block some extra line somewhere).

If you feel adventurous, you might want to take a coat as you go. However, I would advise not to do – probably is a rendering of the building art. You have to move quickly when you should, mixing and application for a smooth and unified will. You also need some tools dedicated to plastering – tools that you can never get to use it again. So here I recommend almost always in a professional environment – if only a few hours scouring the walls of his room average.
